FAQ
What video formats are supported?
MP4 is the safest choice and what we recommend. MOV files work as well. If your file is in a more unusual format, transcode it to MP4 before uploading.
How long does processing take?
Roughly 30 to 60 minutes for a one-hour stream. Two hours of footage takes around an hour and a half. The exact time varies with how much speech and visual activity is in the video. You don't need to keep the page open. You'll get an email the moment your timeline is ready.
Can I undo a cut decision after I've made it?
Yes. Click any segment on the timeline and flip it back. Every decision is reversible right up until the moment you export, and even then you can re-export the same stream with a different set of decisions.
Is my footage stored securely?
Yes. Uploads go straight to encrypted cloud storage and stay private to your account. Source video is retained for 14 days from upload so you can re-export different cuts of the same stream; after that it's deleted.
What happens if I close the browser during processing?
Processing keeps running on our side regardless of whether your browser is open. You can close the tab, shut your laptop, do something else for an hour. When your timeline is ready, the email will land in your inbox and you can pick it up from there.
Does the editor cut my video automatically?
No, never. Your editor only marks up the timeline with suggestions: keep, cut, or your call. Nothing is removed from your video until you review the timeline yourself and explicitly hit export. The human always has the final say.
